*This feature is currently unavailable when using image tiling

Pros and cons of Filterstorm Neue app for iPhone and iPad

Filterstorm Neue app good for

Theres nothing else in iPhone or iPad that matches the level of control as you get with this app.
Current version (1.4.3) ---------------- AWESOME!! Raw + JPEG has been fixed!! 5 stars!! Tested with Fuji Raw+JPEG and Sony Raw+JPEG Previous review (1.4.2) -------------- the problem with shooting Raw + JPEG still exists. But now you can still load other photos (before you had to force quit the app). So if you shoot raw only, then this app works ok. If you shoot JPEG only, then this app works ok. BUT if you shoot raw and JPEG, then trying to open the raw file gives you an error. So this app is NOT for you. Previous review (1.4.1) --------------- Updating my review after the latest update! nd Also removing a star as it has been a while for an update, and also the fact this issue hasnt been addressed. Still has the same BUG/PROBLEM described below. If you shoot RAW and JPEG then avoid this app until it has been fixed!! My old review: --------------- App needs more work! Shooting Raw+JPEG = the app to give an error loading the RAW and crashes the app (you cant load any photos until you force quite the app). Shooting Raw only - the app works fine. No Photos support either. Please add this app to the photos editors option to be able to edit raw or jpeg files directly from the photos app. Add the above and Ill give you 5 stars!! Thanks!!
most bugs corrected , many major features from the old version are back, congrats and thanks
I would like to start by saying this is an amazing app, better than all the others RAW photo editor apps in the store. Besides its professional functionalities it has a minimalist look and feel that makes everything even better. But after using it to edit many photos Ive been taking, I would like to make a few suggestions: 1) Add a grid while cropping. Something similar to the straighten grid; 2) A comparison to original button is very important, not only the comparison the app already have within the edition youre making. Sometimes, when Im in doubt if like it or not the changes I made, I have to go back everything and bring the RAW photo again, losing all edits I previously made; 3) Undo button as well very important. I know you have the History functionality but its not as fast; 4) BTW, History cannot go back 100%, which brings the need of a nice feature such as revert to original. Currently you can achieve this by importing the RAW photo again; 5) It would be nice to have the histogram while making some edits, such as brightness, contrast, shadow, highlights, contrast, etc. 6) When using curves and luminance the graphic could already come with a point in the middle of the chart, leaving it up to the user to decide to move it or leave it in the center and adding other points above or below it. 7) And the most important: batch edit. When youre working with a big number of photos (say hundreds), its difficult to keep track of where you stopped, whats the next photo. Allowing us to import more than one photo at a time would bring the ability of displaying a little icon on the photo (or something similar) showing it has already been modified. Well, these are my thoughts after heavily using your app for a month. Ill be traveling for a long time without a laptop, so Filterstorm its the perfect tool for me. Again, its an extraordinary app and I love it. I just thought I might help somehow by giving an outside opinion.
Thats it. Its a most wonderful app. For me the best. But the old version is still running on my phone because of the borders tool, which I need everyday.
This is one of the, if not the most powerful image editors on the iPad. It definitely is the most intuitive one. Highly recommended.

Some bad moments

After last update app force closes every time I attempt to use clone tool. On iPad it will not even open. Please update back to original functions and would be 5 stars
CRASHES ON LAUNCH. DO NOT BUY THIS APP UNTIL THE PROBLEM IS FIXED.
Love it tons other than the buttons popping up over the image & advanced export options have been removed...please bring those back
Blending images seems more difficult than in the original app and it crashed when I tried to apply a filter. Ill stick with the original.
Gave up on this app - consistently crashes on tilt shift on iPad mini with retina.
I believe this is the fastest, strongest, and most versatile photo editing app on the ipad. Please someone prove me wrong, until then thank you filterstorm for crushing the game!
